TWIN FALLS
As your adventure begins, we pass the swaying Jurassic grasses of Maui's sugar cane fields. Maui's plantation stories era will bring these enormous green fields to life with rich history. One of the very first sites and waterfalls on the Road to Hana, there are numerous spectacular places to observe.
With a really nice hike that just takes visitors 30-40 minutes to reach the falls, the most interesting point that you have to go past the gate then says "experienced hikers only" to get to the falls. On the way you reach the Twin Falls, many beautiful flowers grow along the trail of your journey.
The "Twin" Falls are absolutely gorgeous, which were the highlight of the vacation. There is a little hike to get to the swimming hole, we may stop for a swim in the waterfall pool (depends on strength of flow), visitors can feel the cool and freezing water here.
RAINBOW ECALYPTUS TREE
BAMBOO FOREST
We will reach our next stop when crossing the upper Pipiwai trail, which leads us to the magical Bamboo forest.
There are some challenging when hiking on the trail due to its long and rough, the temperature can make you sweaty; however, it will become your most marvelous experience when you get through it. The beautiful Bamboo forest will save the day, it cools the temperature rapidly when you walk in.
You will feel calm, relaxed and for a moment you will forget everything about your problems. The music from the bamboo trees heating each other, which is harmony for the soul.
And a breathtaking waterfall at the end, where you can watch from a limited vantage point. Our next destination is about the Seven Sacred Pools, which have a nice, easy trail to follow. Those pools are closed for swimming; however, if it's not raining.
BLACK SAND BEACH
The beach that we visit is extremely different with the ground lava sand, which is called "Black Sand beach", is our last destination of Road to Hanna.
This unique beach will never be overcrowded because of the permission community gate for passing, which always limited to 20 passes. And if you are lucky, you just might spot a few turtles basking in the sun. The beach is great for snorkeling to observers the variety of fish and many colorful corals.
